Open books · not a premine

Ops and listing locks

After official launch we will need coins we can actually use: to pay for keeping the project running, and to deposit or seed a book when an exchange will list RUCK. Those coins will sit in two published addresses you can watch. They will not appear in genesis. They will not come from the test wallet.

Why this exists. A mineable coin with no listing inventory and no way to pay servers stays a notebook on a home PC. Hiding a pile in genesis is how projects lose the room. We chose public locks instead.

The two pots

Ops lock

Development and running costs

Servers, legal, tools, the work of applying to exchanges. Not a salary dump the day after launch.

Listings lock

Exchange deposits and liquidity

Coins an exchange or a market-maker may require to open a pair. Not for personal sale in a chat.

Veterans fund

Separate on purpose

Aid is not ops and not listings. That pot stays on the veterans page. We will not move coins between these three without a public note and a txid.

How coins get in (after height 0)

How the community can check we are not dumping

  1. If it is not on this page, it is not a lock

No DM address. No “send to this K for the listing.” Only the strings printed below, once they exist.

  2. Ops coins wait, then the room votes

Ops coins stay put until a published height (about 90 days after official launch). After that, a spend still needs a public vote from official-wallet holders. We will also print a per-proposal cap at launch so one vote cannot empty the pot.

  3. Listing coins leave only for a named venue, after a vote

A listings unlock must name the exchange or pool and the job (deposit, pair inventory, documented market-making). No “misc.” Holders vote on that exact amount and reason. If the vote fails, the coins stay put.

  4. Every outflow has a row

Date, which lock, amount, why, vote result, txid. Same standard as the veterans page. An empty excuse is a broken promise.

No public locks yet. This table stays empty until official launch and the first spend.

If a lock goes over its target, the extra stays in the address or is burned. We will say which, with a txid. We will not invent a huge genesis pile and call it a lock.

What we will not do

Today. Public test only. There are no official lock addresses. Anyone collecting “dev RUCK” or “listing liquidity” right now is not this project.
